More Info: My friend Ashley and her best friend, twin sister, have been diagnosed with Lupus… It is estimated that 1.5 million Americans have a form of lupus, an acute and chronic (lifelong) autoimmune disease in which the immune system is unbalanced, causing inflammation and tissue damage to virtually every organ system in the body. November 2008 marked 50 years since a drug has been approved for the treatment of lupus.

It took 4 years of horrible tests and doctors for them to figure it out. Ashley is walking so no one has to go through that ever again and so Ashley can raise money so all of us don’t have to be in pain for the rest of our lives each and every day. Ashley lives her life to the fullest. Ashley has been able to pursue modeling and acting!!

Please join Ashley’s team if you are able to walk JUNE 11th, that would be awesome!! Ashley walks because she has gone to 100 doctors for 4 years to get an accurate diagnosis. Ashley walks for all of those times she cried herself to sleep because the pain is so brutal & she cries when she wakes because she knows she has to, do it all over again. She walks for those that do not have the support system she has. She walks because she is in constant pain, even on good days. She walks because she doesn’t ever want anyone to have to suffer through life like she does. She will not wish this on her worst enemy! She walks because she is 23 & she should be in the prime of her life, not struggling to make it through the work day. She walks because it hurts to walk, and she will not allow lupus to rule her life.
